Chihuly Garden and Glass

Tuesday. February 3. 2026

On a beautiful day in Seattle, Little Kong and I planned a visit to Chihuly Garden and Glass and the Space Needle, and it was one of the main things we were really looking forward to on this trip. In the morning, we spent some time walking around downtown Seattle and just enjoying the city atmosphere. On our way to Seattle Center, we also passed by the Amazon Spheres, which looked very futuristic and interesting from the outside. The whole walk felt relaxed, like we were slowly moving toward something exciting.

Chihuly Garden and Glass and Space Needle

American glass artist, Dale Chihuly

When we entered Chihuly’s glass art world, I could feel that mix of curiosity and excitement right away. The space was full of color, light, and shapes that almost felt like they were floating in the air. His glass work felt so alive, like it was constantly changing depending on where you stand and how the light hits it. Even though I had seen his work before at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, I was still completely drawn in again. This time it felt even more immersive, almost like stepping inside a dream made of glass. The colors felt brighter, the forms felt more playful, and everything had this soft but powerful energy that made me stop and look longer at each piece.

After going through the indoor galleries, we stepped outside to see more of his work in the garden. The combination of glass sculptures and natural light made everything feel even more magical. Some pieces looked like they were growing out of the ground, while others looked like they were floating above us. The way the glass reflected the sky and surrounding plants made the whole space feel warm and almost unreal. It was one of those moments where I just want to slow down and take everything in without rushing.

It was a truly inspiring visit that made me see glass art in a completely new way, and it will stay with me as one of the most memorable parts of my time in Seattle.
