HELLO,
I am an illustrator based in Los Angeles, United States. I was born in South Korea and I moved here to pursue my MFA in Illustration at California State University, Long Beach.
I have dedicated myself to creating illustrations and drawings that are influenced by both my personal experiences and imagination. My preferred medium of choice is graphite pencil, as it allows me to bring my ideas to life with unparalleled precision and detail.
AS A CHILD,
I was very shy and I loved to read. I usually spent my time in the old, small shed where we put dusty old books and belongings. While I was reading books in there, the stories played in my head like a film, and I enjoyed daydreaming. That memory helped me visualize a fantasy world in which ordinary places and things inspired imagined characters and structures.
My work is based on the idea of celebrating imagination, and I want to give people a little pleasure by using my imagination to illustrate my fantasies based on ordinary places.
