The McNay Art Museum was our final destination in the city of San Antonio, and it was the perfect way to end our visit. We went there on a beautiful, sunny Sunday, hoping to make the most of our last day in the city. The moment we arrived, we noticed that the museum didn’t look like a typical art museum—it looked more like a grand, historic mansion surrounded by peaceful gardens and open space. It felt special and welcoming right away.
As we walked through the garden toward the entrance, we were greeted by a large and eye-catching sculpture of a deer. The sculpture stood proudly near the pathway and added a magical feeling to the space. Not far from it, we saw a couple dressed in elegant wedding clothes taking photos near a beautiful fountain. The scene felt like something out of a movie, with sunlight glowing on the water and flowers blooming all around.

When we entered the museum, the first thing that caught my attention was the Contemporary art section. The bold colors, creative shapes, and interesting materials pulled me in immediately. As we continued exploring, I started to feel like I was walking through someone’s beautifully decorated home rather than a public museum. The rooms were cozy and filled with natural light, and the warm wooden floors and vintage windows added a sense of charm.
One of my favorite parts of the McNay was the quiet courtyard in the middle of the building. A small fountain bubbled in the center, and the area was filled with fresh air and soft sunlight. We took a break there to rest and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Sitting in the courtyard made me feel relaxed and inspired at the same time. Visiting the McNay Art Museum was not just about seeing artwork—it was about experiencing art in a calm and beautiful setting that felt like home.
